Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Maparz ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Maparz provides a free, web-based tool for converting geospatial files between supported formats using the open-source GDAL library. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload files containing malware, malicious code, or illegal content
• Upload files to which you do not own rights or have explicit permission to process
• Attempt to overwhelm, disrupt, or harm the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated scripts to submit large volumes of conversion requests without prior consent
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law

4. Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of any files you upload. By uploading a file, you grant Maparz a temporary, limited licence to process the file solely for the purpose of performing the requested conversion. This licence terminates when the converted file is delivered and the uploaded data is deleted.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Maparz makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that conversions will be error-free, complete, or that output files will be compatible with all software.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maparz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data. Our total liability shall not exceed USD $10.

7. File size and usage limits

Free conversions are limited to files of 50 MB or less. We reserve the right to impose rate limits or restrict access for users who abuse the Service. Limits may change at any time without notice.

8. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction.
